Fernando Samalea is a drummer and bandoneon player, a key figure in the music scene since the mid-1980s. Recognized for his technical versatility and artistic sensitivity, he has left an indelible mark by playing in the bands and recordings of Charly García, Gustavo Cerati, Andrés Calamaro, Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas, and Joaquín Sabina, among many others. In addition to his career as a session musician and his solo instrumental projects, Samalea has captured his perspective on the history of Argentine rock as a writer through an acclaimed series of autobiographical books.
