Disclaimer: This tutorial demonstrates square knots tied using the back-to-front wrapping method, which is how I originally learned the technique. Some instructors teach a front-to-back wrapping method. Either approach will work—simply use the method you are most comfortable with and follow the design layout shown for the square knot sections. Skills Covered: This project incorporates the following macramé knots and techniques: • Lark’s Head Knots • Square Knots • Diagonal Half Hitch Knots • Gathering Knots The tutorial also includes a brief demonstration of an optional technique for tying multiple diagonal half hitches in a single step (see 5:30 and 18:00). The diamond section is repeated with slightly different knotting patterns. Adapt to your style.
