Flux towers: Not your average in-field weather station – AGronomyTV

Henrique Carvalho, an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba, has six flux towers located across agro-Manitoba. Their purpose? To measure the exchange of carbon dioxide and water between the ground and the atmosphere (and more) to see how different crops use these essential natural resources for crop production. For AgronomyTV, Carvalho speaks with Greg Berg, digital editor for Glacier FarmMedia, about how the flux towers work and how this research can be used as a dataset to develop future crop growth and yield models.
