Silver-tongued Gage used the internet to meet young women who he seduced. He often posed as an airline pilot, in a ruse similar to the one used by Leonardo Di Caprio’s character in the film Catch Me If You Can. He would start a relationship then plunder the women’s bank accounts of thousands of pounds before moving on to his next victim. Police describe Gage as a Walter Mitty-type fantasist; he led a fantasy lifestyle where he actually started to believe his own lies. Gage moved all over the country conducting the same scam. We meet two of Gage’s victims who were devastated by his cruel betrayal – both had had intimate relationships with Gage, both thought they were in love and both had their bank accounts plundered. Gene Morrison – Fraudulent Forensics Expert This phoney forensics investigator faked his credentials and netted almost half a million pounds of taxpayers’ money. Over a 26 year period he offered bogus expert testimony in court and bogus investigative services to private clients who paid large sums of money for worthless work. He brazenly stood in front of judges and juries up and down the country and lied on oath repeatedly. He was convicted of 20 charges and now around 700 cases he worked on are having to be re-investigated.
