Never Been Touched! - Loads of Silver & AMAZING Old Finds Metal Detecting This Early 1700s Property!

This week we are metal detecting an incredible 1740’s estate tucked way back on a 1/4mile driveway, but it almost didn’t happen. When Doug and I drove down the driveway and spoke to the property owner about metal detecting the property she politely said no thank you. We were a little bummed as we knew the potential this place has but we accepted her answer and just chatted for a bit. We talked about the property in general and she kindly described all the unique features that only a house of this age would have. The structures were incredible with hand laid block and brick, dug from a quarry located right on the property. Before I knew it she invited me inside to see the walk-in fireplace, the exposed hand hewn beams, and an overall tour of this stunning 300 year old home. After touring the inside for a while and sharing stories she totally surprised me by saying, “I guess metal detecting the property would be fine”. I told her we’d try to find her some display worthy period pieces and she liked that idea.
