"The Gospel of Hope for a Weary People," sermon by Tony Campolo

Wilshire welcomed the legendary Tony Campolo on Sunday morning, Sept. 23, 2018. His sermon was drawn from Isaiah 65:17-25. It was a call for Christians to become radically committed to the mission of the church at a time when there is much confusion as to what that mission should be. He emphasized that Jesus came declaring that the kingdom of God is at hand, which requires transformed people working together to transform the society from what it is, into the kind of society that God wants it to be.
