Harrison Faulkner explores El Zonte, El Salvador, also known as Bitcoin Beach, the first town in the world to have a fully circular Bitcoin economy. Three years ago, El Zonte was run by dangerous gangs and over 90% of the town was too poor to have a bank account. Today, through local Bitcoin investments, this town is a tourist hotspot where locals are being paid in Bitcoin. There is probably no other place on earth that is like this right now.
