Edward Elgar: Chanson de matin played by Laurence Kempton (violin) and Warwick Cole (piano)

If the 'old' normal were still with us, we'd be preparing for an inaugural series of short Saturday concerts this autumn. But instead we are still wondering if the 'new' normal will allow public concerts. So here's a taster of what we might enjoy at Minchinhampton in the near future, if we are allowed. Laurence Kempton, a long-standing friend, is a mighty fine violinist and he agreed to spend his Saturday afternoon recording some lovely music, of which this Elgar piece is the first instalment. We hope you like it and that you'll be able to hear live music - other than just the organ - some time soon. Laurence is playing his lovely early C18th Testore violin, and it is good at last to be able to give our fine Yamaha piano an outing. Thanks for watching.
