2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Misfire Diagnosis
Hopefully this video explains how we come to the conclusion that this vehicle needs cylinder head repair. The video shows how one of the valves on cylinder #8 never closes explaining zero compression on that cylinder. Cylinder #7 has what looks to be oil leaking from the cylinder head gasket into the cylinder. The spark plugs that I removed from this car are certainly some of the most excessively worn spark plugs I have ever witnessed. The vehicle has 192K miles and these certainly could be the original spark plugs to the vehicle. What is also strange is the radiator is full of clear water and not antifreeze/coolant of any color. When pressure tested the cooling system, the system pressure is lost within minutes. This tells me that coolant is also leaking into one or more of the cylinders.
