This is a video of a summer-only ferry trip from Wakkanai, Hokkaido to Korsakov (Sakhalin) in Russia. In 2018, the ferry was supposed to be suspended due to being unprofitable, but thanks to a subsidy from Russia, it was suddenly re-operated. It's actually a 4.5-hour ferry trip from Japan to Russia. I hope it will be operational again in 2019. If it is operational, please try to go to Sakhalin by ferry.
