According to the Home Department, a letter has been sent to the Director General of Police (DGP) directing the preparation of the charge memo, articles of charge, detailed statement of alleged misconduct, and supporting documents for submission to the government for approval. The Home Department has stated that, under the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969, departmental proceedings must be initiated within 30 days of suspension.
