El CINISMO del PRI | LA LEY DE HERODES (1999) | EL RESUMEN

A satirical comedy about political corruption in Mexico, Herod's Law is a 1999 Mexican film directed by Luis Estrada, starring Damián Alcázar, Pedro Armendáriz Jr., Isela Vega, and Salvador Sánchez. The story is set in 1949 in the fictional, impoverished town of San Pedro de los Saguaros. The current mayor, Antonio López, is murdered by the fed-up townspeople while stealing municipal funds. In the state capital, Governor Sánchez is concerned about the scandal in the midst of an election year. He instructs his right-hand man, Secretary of Government Fidel López, to appoint an interim mayor who is loyal and, above all, expendable to avoid further problems.
