Catalysing Inclusive and Climate-Resilient Agri-Food Systems through Gender-Responsive Financing

Hosted by the Joint Programme on Rural Women's Economic Empowerment in Rwanda (JP RWEE), this High-Level Policy Dialogue convenes senior policymakers, development partners, financial institutions, civil society, the private sector, and women entrepreneurs to advance gender-responsive climate finance. The discussion explores innovative financing models, including blended finance, digital credit, and gender-smart climate insurance that can de-risk investments in women-led agri-businesses and strengthen the resilience of rural communities. By mobilizing political commitment, aligning stakeholder efforts, and catalysing systemic change in financing mechanisms, the dialogue aims to accelerate inclusive, climate-resilient agri-food systems with a focus on rural women's economic empowerment.
