Tochinoshin, Gagamaru, and Kokkai Discuss Being Japanese Sumo Wrestlers from a Foreign Country

I have uploaded this content to offer English translations for sumo content in foreign languages. My goal is to encourage interest in the sumo sport and traditions to English language speakers. This video features sumo wrestlers Tochinoshin (Levan Gorgadze), Gagamaru (Teimuraz Jugheli) and retired wrestler Kokkai (Levan Tsaguria) who are/were professional Japanese sumo wrestlers who are from Georgia. They discuss what their experiences were like as a sumo foreigner. The video starts out with Japanese born yokozuna, Kisenosato (Yutaka Hagiwara), doing a ceremonial sumo dance. Later in the video, Mongolian born yokozuna, Hakuhō (Mönkhbatyn Davaajargal) also performs a ceremonial dance. I did not produce the original video. However, I have spent over 20 hours adding supplemental sumo facts into the footage, working with a Georgian translator, working with a Japanese translator, and syncing all of the translations and content. Both translators I worked with were paid contractors. My goal is just to make this into content that is more accessible. I recommend these two Facebook sites to interact with other sumo fans. I do not run either site, although I am a contributing member to both sites. SumoSumoSumo   / 781646855303002   Sumo Wrestling   / 24818965977
