Many times we unknowingly adopt some skin care practices which are not beneficial for the skin health. Rather these skincare mistakes affect the skin pretty badly and can lead to acne, pigmentation, dullness, etc. Here are some of the common skincare mistakes to avoid 𝟎𝟎:𝟑𝟒 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 The foaming cleansers tend to dry out the skin. Choose gentle cleansers according to the skin type for washing face. However, people with oily skin can use mild foaming cleansers. 𝟎𝟏:𝟏𝟒 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 Alcohol-based toners can disrupt the pH balance of the skin. One can use a hydrating mist or rose water instead of toner. 𝟎𝟐:𝟎𝟐 𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 Many over-the-counter lightening creams contain steroids or other harmful chemicals that might provide instant results but are not good for the long-term. Skipping their use can lead to the recurrence of pigmentation. 𝟎𝟐:𝟓𝟓 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐛𝐬 Physical exfoliators tend to tear away the skin layer and can aggravate skin issues. Instead, use DIY scrubs or mild chemical peel solution for gentle exfoliation. 𝟎𝟒:𝟐𝟓 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 Always check for the ingredient list before applying any skincare product.
