Simon of the Desert | All The Devil Has to do is Wait
Luis Bunuel's Simon of the Desert, starring the beautiful Sylvia Pinal, is a short little oddity of a film. In my opinion though, it's a masterpiece, and one of the best films about evil and its war against the sacred. Is it possible for religious piety to survive in the present world? That's the question this film asks. The answer it then gives is disheartening, and, unfortunately, likely to be true.
