Tanning a Kangaroo Skin and Making Shoes! Handmade Shoes | Leatherwork | Bushcraft | Self-Reliance.

In this video I go through the process of tanning the hide of a Tasmanian forester (eastern grey) kangaroo. I start by making a frame, then applying borax and alum paste to the de-fleshed hide. I then start to cut and sew to make a pair of shoes that walk the line between moccasins and boots. Let me know what you think.
