Good: The camera has many of the same features of more expensive action cameras like 4K video, full HD slow motion, and time lapse modes for both photo and video. One of the stand out features of the camera is something small but is important and something people have been asking GoPro for a long time and that is a tripod mount on the camera. This means you don't need any special adaptors for mounting, just screw the camera onto a 1/4-20 tripod thread and you are mounted and ready to go. Finally, the last thing I want to mention is the price this camera can be found anywhere from $83-$118 on Amazon. This is considerably cheaper than the GoPro Hero 7 Black Edition which is priced at $399, $349 on sale or the GoPro Hero 7 Silver Edition which is priced at $299. There is also a cheaper GoPro the Hero 7 White Edition for $199 however the White Edition does not shoot 4K. The Mi Action Camera specs match closely to the Hero 7 Black but realistically sits somewhere between the Hero 7 Black and the Hero 7 Silver but at a fraction of the price. Now the only thing that I did not like about this camera is it did not ship with any accessories it's an action camera and it needs accessories to truly be an action camera because the camera itself is not waterproof and has an exposed lens so you really need to put this in a housing to protect it if you're going to be in water or if you're going to do activities where you may get dirt or rocks or anything else touching the lens. The camera may fall and drop so you're going to want to make sure that you actually have some protection for that lens and this camera did not ship with any housing or anything else with it. now the housing is relatively cheap you can buy one on Amazon for $25 you can also get a third-party version of it with a whole kit for $20. One last thing I wanted to mention that could be a bad thing for some people it doesn't really bother me but there is no microphone input on this camera so if you want to use an external mic you're going to have to record your audio separately and then sync it up in post or accept the audio that comes straight out of the camera. Finally, this is a really nice action camera if you're looking for something that's going to give you GoPro level specs and performance without the GoPro price this is definitely a good option. You get 4k recording, you get True full HD slow-motion, you get high bitrate video files where you can set it at a hundred megabits, you get multiple time lapse modes, you really get a lot in this camera much more than you would expect from a camera that only cost $83-118.
