In this video we target suspended pre-spawn walleyes using Garmin LiveScope and a casting approach that lets us see fish in real time and make precise presentations. When walleyes suspend before the spawn, they can be some of the most aggressive fish in the lake — but they’re also some of the hardest to locate without the right electronics. Using Garmin LiveScope, we’re able to scan open water, find roaming fish, and “snipe” individual walleyes with accurate casts. This technique has quickly become one of the most effective ways to catch big pre-spawn fish when they move off structure and suspend in the water column.
