Neustadt am Rübenberge - Unterwegs in Niedersachsen (Folge 49)

In this episode, we showcase the town of Neustadt am Rübenberge in the Hanover region, with its 33 districts and numerous sights. The town is located on the Leine River northeast of Lake Steinhude and Totem Moor. In a broader sense, Neustadt lies in the so-called commuter belt of Hanover, but in a narrower sense, Neustadt is relatively rural. The average population density is approximately 126 inhabitants per km²; excluding the core city, the figure is approximately 56 inhabitants per km². With an area of ​​357 km² – about one-thousandth the size of Germany – Neustadt is one of the largest cities in Germany and the largest district town in the "old" federal states.
