Krushna Chandra Hembram is a student from a remote village in Keonjhar district of Odisha. He is a person with 70% blindness but this disability of his has never been an obstacle in front his strong will to study. He has achieved many remarkable milestones in his life. Moreover he is active in social work since his student life. He has formed an organization named AKEEL(A step towards Knowledge, Education, Empowerment and Literacy) which offers monetary support to the poor but brilliant tribal students from rural areas. Sarhaw offers him a big round of applause for his contribution to the society and wish him a bright future ahead in his life. Sarhaw ( To thank, to appreciate, to support, to motivate) is something that a society needs in the core of its tradition to have a sustainable and inclusive growth. A small thought that tribal people from different fields who are doing well in their own fields must be provided a platform to express their views, their insights towards life, society etc. led us to come together. We strongly believe that this small initiative can result in a positive atmosphere around us in the society. People may find a path of their own after listening to these successful personalities. This way we, a group of like minded people, came together to make a platform naming "Sarhaw". "Sarhaw" - a digital media platform (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) where you can listen to tribal people from different walks of life , you can listen to their struggles they have undergone to achieve something. Personalities would be anyone (Farmers, students, administrative officials, artists, social activists, leaders etc) who have exceptional stories to share with us all.Here is a glimpse of what we want to achieve. We aim To identify, recognize and thank the tribal people from different walks of life who have gone through tough times but still stood firm showing their sheer courage towards life to fight them back, filling their surrounding with positive messages. To spread positivity, motivation and enthusiasm among the people of our tribal community. To inculcate self-confidence, perseverance, inclusiveness, discipline, human values and all that matters to make a balanced, successful life and better society to live in. To make “SARHAW” (to thank, to appreciate, to support and to motivate) a new tradition, alongside several other beautiful cultures and traditions of ours, to be followed by the fellow brothers and sisters.
