Walking Chacarita Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 | Demographics of This Emerging Neighborhood

Today we’re walking through Chacarita, one of the more interesting and evolving neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this Street Level Reality neighborhood tour, we explore the streets of Chacarita to get a feel for what everyday life looks like in this part of the city. The walk includes residential blocks, local streets, and a look at the Subte station to show how well connected the area is to the rest of Buenos Aires. Chacarita is known for being home to the massive Chacarita Cemetery, one of the largest cemeteries in Argentina. Filming inside the cemetery isn’t allowed, but we walk around the area and visit the park just outside the cemetery to show the surrounding environment and public space. Along the way we talk about the demographics of the neighborhood and what makes Chacarita unique compared to other barrios nearby like Palermo and Villa Crespo.
