Living with Long Covid Helen

Helen developed Long Covid after a 2022 infection, with severe ongoing fatigue, muscle weakness, brain fog, poor sleep, palpitations, and breathlessness that make basic daily tasks extremely difficult. She struggled for months without clear support or diagnosis, feeling unheard by her GP until a Long Covid clinic confirmed her condition. The illness has deeply affected her independence, relationships, and identity, bringing significant emotional strain and guilt, though support groups and specialist services have helped her feel understood.
