24 Oras - Main Theme (2008) | Broadcast Theme Music

Copyright (c) 2008 GMA Network Inc. Premiered on 15 March 2004, "24 Oras" (meaning "24 Hours") is the flagship primetime newscast of GMA Network. Being originally anchored by Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez (he took a leave off-air until his death in 2023), Vicky Morales joined the newscast in 2014, and Emil Sumangil then filled in for the late Mike Enriquez as a full-time anchor. At some time when Enriquez took a break from the show, Atom Araullo served as his substitute. The description "Dahil hindi natutulog ang balita" ("Because News never sleeps") - first used since its launch in 2004 - fits well with the show's theme, suggesting that GMA are constantly on the lookout for news and information for the whole 24 hours of the day. Under its then-new brand slogan "Tahanan ng Katotohanan" ("Home of Truth"), the newscast had a major revamp on August 11, 2008, with a multi-million peso studio set using LED, a new graphics package, and it had the first change to its main theme music.
