It’s the title track from her and partner Juha Raivio’s doom metal project Trees of Eternity. This was one of the tracks not on their 2013 demo but was on the 2016 album released after her death, meaning it was likely written after she knew she was terminal. Aleah’s long-time nickname in the Scandinavian metal and folk communities was “the Nightingale,” so it feels almost like she’s writing her own eulogy here and it hits pretty hard. Sorry to end on a downer, but I hope you liked the series (and Costin’s work).
