Reflections-The Fairfield Works Of TCI
The Fairfield Works was a planned integrated steel mill of The Tennessee Coal, Iron & Railroad Company a division of the United States Steel Corporation. The Fairfield Works were located in the southwest area of the Birmingham Industrial District between Ensley and Bessemer. The Fairfield Works operated from 1910 to 2015 when U.S. Steel permanently closed the site.
