I decided to test the worst-rated places in Hanoi, Vietnam, so you don’t have to and the experience is truly unforgettable – for all the wrong reasons. I stayed at a haunted house-style hotel, where the reviews weren’t lying: it was unbelievably filthy, and guests reported the owner having serious mental issues. I also checked out a café with a fake, overpriced menu, a massage parlor where the staff barely put any effort into the service and pressured me for tips afterward, and a bar with rude staff that made the experience even worse.
