Behaved #215 – Anneke Lucas: “De Bende van Nijvel, Dutroux en elite-pedonetwerk vormen één verhaal”

Welcome to a new episode of our series on the Nijvel Gang. This time, we welcome Anneke Lucas for one of the most moving conversations we have ever had at Behaved. Anneke speaks candidly about what she experienced as a child. For years, she remained silent about her experiences, but for several years now, she has dedicated herself worldwide to raising awareness of the consequences of severe child abuse, trauma, and the path to recovery. Her story has touched thousands of people and formed the basis for lectures, interviews, and various books. During this conversation, Anneke not only shares her personal life story but also explains why she is convinced that various dark chapters in Belgian history are connected. According to her, there are links between the Nijvel Gang, the Dutroux case, and a network of influential individuals who were guilty of abusing children, among others. She explains how she arrived at this conviction and why she believes many more questions need to be asked about this. This episode contains heavy and confronting testimonies and is therefore less suitable for sensitive listeners.
