How Accurate Is A Basic .308 AR-10?

In this video, I take a pretty basic AR-10 and see how accurate it can be right out of the box. I used a Springfield Armory Saint Victor V2 in .308 with a 16" barrel and mounted 2 types of optics on it. I shot some groups at 100 yards, then stretched it out to 1,000 yards. The first optic was a Teslon Optics Toxin 3-18X50 and it represents putting on an optic made to shoot long range. Check it out here: https://www.telsonoptics.com/?ref=tex... If I tinkered with finding ammo it liked even more and upgraded the trigger, I'm sure I could've had a lot more success. That just goes to show the versatility of a 16" AR-10 setup. It can reach out, but it can also be equipped for short/mid range shooting and you can toss a thermal clip-on for all your night hunting applications.
