This scandal was revealed in three books by the renowned investigative journalist María Antonieta Flores Astorga. Empty Strollers, Children on Demand, and The Beast That Devours Children expose and denounce the modus operandi of this complex scheme, which no institution claiming to defend children and human rights investigates.
