Rumi: What the Heart Holds | The Cure Is Never Ours to Choose (Sufi Poetry & Music)

What the heart holds, the heart must lose. The cure is never ours to choose. This is “What the Heart Holds” — an original @SophiSolve lyrical interpretation drawn from Rumi’s Masnavi, Book I. It is the tale of the king who fell in love with a slave-girl, only to discover that healing comes not through possession, but through release. A divinely-sent healer arrives not to cure her body, but to untie her heart — revealing that a lesser love must die so the Beloved can enter. The king rode out at break of day, and all his power bowed to a single glance. She fell sick, and no physician knew why: for her sickness was a hidden love she could not name. The healer spoke to her in silence, listening until the name of her distant love surfaced like a wound. And then he summoned the goldsmith, so the heart could break, and then be free. What the heart holds, the heart must lose; the cure is never ours to choose. A lesser love must die — and then the Friend you longed for comes again. This is not a story about cruelty. It is a story about what must dissolve before the soul can turn toward its Source. Every attachment that binds us to a lesser love is a wall between us and the One who made us. This was not your love — this was your chain. What the heart holds, the heart must lose. The cure is never ours to choose. Through the sickness, through the breaking, through the silent healer’s hands, what you call yours will fall away, and Love will lead you home to stay. The king asked mercy from the dark, and mercy came in golden flame. Not as he wished, but as the soul required: the goldsmith fading, the girl set free, the heart untethered from its lesser name. This was your tale from the start, the one you carry when you cannot sleep. The loss that hollowed out a room inside your chest was not a punishment. It was the Beloved making space. O heart — what you thought was yours is gone. And what you see now is only His light. If these words find you at the right moment, let them hold you. 🎵 Original lyrical composition by Mansoor K. 🎧 Produced using Suno AI #Rumi #SufiPoetry #SufiMusic #MeditationMusic #SpiritualMusic #RumiSong #Masnavi #WhatTheHeartHolds #SufiMeditation #InnerPeace
