POV: You blink and suddenly you’re country hopping across East Africa. ✈️🌍 What was supposed to be a regular weekend quickly turned into an adventure filled with flights, friendships, tourism, and a little bit of retail therapy! First things first, I finally bought myself my delayed birthday gift, the iPhone 17 Pro. Because listen, some birthday presents are worth the wait. 📱✨ Then it was off to Tanzania, where I attended the biggest tourism fair in East Africa, Karibu Kilifair, representing Africa Travel Sisters. From networking with tourism professionals to discovering exciting travel opportunities across the continent, it was an incredible experience and a reminder of why I love promoting African travel so much. A huge shout out to my sister Maggie for hosting me and making my Tanzanian weekend extra special. The love, laughter, and hospitality were everything! ❤️ And because one country simply wasn’t enough for one weekend, my layover in Kenya became an adventure of its own. Instead of sitting at the airport counting down the hours, I headed out to explore with my friends from VistaVoyage, which is my friend’s Moses travel agency. We squeezed in some sightseeing, good conversations, and a little Kenyan magic before it was time to head back home to South Africa. Two countries. One weekend. Endless memories. This trip reminded me that some of the best adventures happen when you say “yes” to opportunities, embrace spontaneous moments, and let Africa surprise you. Thank you, Tanzania, for the warm welcome.
