Starting the ride in Canada / Canmore to Elkford - episode 1 / 2024 / GDMBR / Days 0 - 3

This is the first installment of my solo bikepacking journey on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in July of 2024. I tried to shoot the series from the perspective of delivering information for future riders but also hopefully enjoyable for those who are simply interested in the journey. (and not be negative, which I have a tendency to come across as when actually I'm not) My trip was delayed a few days because of a mechanics strike at West Jet. I had hoped to be there for Canada Day on the 1st.
