Bruno Cirino - che nel film di De Seta era il maestro - e i ragazzi della scuola media di Tiburtino III a Roma partecipano in modo autonomo e originale alla campagna per il no nel referendum. Il film segue la preparazione dei manifesti, dei volantini, di un questionario. Accompagna il corteo che percorre il quartiere per organizzare un'assemblea pubblica; si sviluppa attraverso una serie di interviste ai cittadini, tra cui particolarmente significative quelle con una coppia di sposi appena usciti dalla chiesa e quella con una donna divorziata; si discute sulla Sacra Rota che ha sempre avuto la facoltà di annullare i matrimoni, si mettono in luce difficili situazioni familiari *** DIARY OF A NO Director: Gianni Serra House of production: Sezione stampa e propaganda direzione PCI Year: 1974 Abstract: Bruno Cirino, the actor, and the boys who took part in the TV program Diary of a teacher by Vittorio De Seta lead this film investigation on the referendum on divorce called for the month of the month of May 1974. Bruno Cirino, who was the teacher in De Seta's film, and the boys of the Tiburtino III a district of Rome school have devised their own autonomous and original way to support the campaign for a "no" in the referendum. The film documents the preparation of posters, leaflets and questionnaries; it accompaines the march in the Tribuno III suburb which was organized in order to call a public meeting on the topic; it unfolds through a series of interviews with people, among which we recall a particularly significant one with a newly married couple just leaving the church and another one with a divorced woman.
