CZY POLSKA JEST WOLNYM KRAJEM? – kto realnie za nas decyduje? [10 pytań do dr. Artura Bartoszewicza]

Today's interview is with Artur Bartoszewicz – a PhD in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics, an expert in public policy, public finance, state aid, and strategic management, the author of numerous analyses and economic reports, and an expert in EU policy. We discuss whether Poland is still a free, autonomous country, or whether we have already become part of the European Union Federation. Farmers drive tractors through Polish cities. They oppose EU policy. Is this acceptance a result of EU federalization, i.e., the transformation of the European Union, which consists of autonomous states into a single federation, with a single government for all and only partially autonomous states? The Institute deals with taxes, so the question naturally arises: How will federalization affect our taxes? Is a single tax system for the entire EU possible? A single tax rate? Is the system of mandatory invoicing for all taxpayers (KSeF) an instrument that promotes federalization? There's talk across Europe about the Green Transition. Is this ideology, or an effective and, above all, necessary program for economic transformation? Or perhaps we should attribute this to the aforementioned federalization? How does this compare to other countries and regions outside the EU? Isn't it the case that we in Europe are the only ones "playing" with this ecology, while everyone else is smiling to themselves? What about the Blue Transition, the introduction of sustainable marine fishing that will prevent overfishing and, consequently, harvest more fish from the seas and oceans. Fishing employs over 200 million people worldwide. Is this a new shock to the economy, or just another element of control? Does a European can labeled "sardine" actually contain sardines? How should Polish entrepreneurs and farmers react to all this? Will there be only two or three companies in the world (perhaps divided by continent) competing with each other? There will be no politics, only business? On a humorous note: what language will this single, large country, the "Federation of Europe," speak?
