Many of you who are watching this know that I got my start in golf with Dan Shauger (died 2014) and Mike Austin (died 2005) starting in 2003 when I was 27 years old. Over the years, many people came to me and asked me about Mike and his swing. In 2012, I decided to make my own video (this video) that shared what I was taught by Dan and Mike...synthesized with other Mike Austin material. The video was a 1-man production. I wrote, filmed, and edited everything with some basic filming equipment (tripod, wireless mic, camera, iPad as teleprompter, and iMovie on my MacBook Pro) in the spring of 2012. Considering I'm not a professional film maker and everything was bootstrapped together, please pardon how it turned out! Although I go through phases of using and/or not using the Austin swing, I still want to post this video in the interest of sharing with others who would like to learn about Dan Shauger, Mike Austin, and my perspective of the swing.
