NEW LIVERY VOYAGER! A Huge Day at Reading Station, Freight & IET Action 25/02/26

Five hours of non-stop main line action at Reading Station — and it’s the brand-new Cross Country livery on 220033 that steals the spotlight. From IET pairings and heavy freight to Class 60 power and top-and-tail 66s, this session delivered everything. Even drivers were stopping for selfies in front of the Voyager. If you enjoy detailed UK rail coverage, help us reach 1,000 subscribers — your support genuinely keeps these long-form sessions coming. Filmed between 10:30 and 15:30 on 25th February 2026, this session captures five hours of relentless traffic at Reading railway station, one of the busiest and most diverse main line hubs in the UK. The headline appearance comes from Class 220 220033 in its brand-new Cross Country livery, working 1E36 — my taxi down from New Street. The repaint caused serious interest on the platform, with even drivers pausing for selfies in front of the unit. Alongside the Voyager highlight, this session includes: Class 800 800010 – 1L68 800023 & 800006 – 1L12 800022 & 800030 – 1B11 800320 – 1D19 800321 – 1A77 / 1B16 800308 – 1C19 / 1A82 800306 – 1W02 800008 – 1L72 800001 – 1L74 800017 – 1G17 800315 – 1B19 Freight traction includes: Class 60 60099 – 6M60 60028 – 6M51 60029 – 6V37 Class 66 66566 & 66561 – 6A40 66097 – 6C03 66617 – 6M91 66614 – 6A61 66510 – 4L33 66522 – 4O38 66192 & 66106 – 6A97 (Top & Tail) 59202 – 6A60 Passenger variety also includes: Class 387 workings Class 345 services Class 802 appearances Class 221 221111 & 221116 Class 450 pair 450033 & 450070 From high-speed IET departures to steady freight movements, Reading once again proves why it’s one of the UK’s most rewarding filming locations. One of the standout aspects of this session was the sheer variety on display — not just in traction, but in liveries as well. From freshly repainted units turning heads on the platform to weathered freight locomotives showing the marks of hard main line work, Reading delivered a constant mix of colour and character. High-speed bi-modes, regional multiple units, heavy freight power and classic intercity sets all shared the same stretch of railway, creating a visual and operational contrast that kept the action engaging from start to finish. 🚂 Sister Channel If you enjoy realistic railway operations, check out my sister channel Charlemont Parkway, where I recreate authentic main line-style movements in 00 gauge with detailed scenery, weathered rolling stock and operational accuracy inspired by real-world sessions like this. 📅 Next Video Tease Next up: Leamington Spa, featuring one of the last running Mk3 Chiltern Railways sets, alongside heavy freight and main line action. #train #railwayaction #trainspotting #freighttrains #railwayphotography #starlifestudios #trains #british #ReadingStation #NewLivery #Class220 #Voyager #CrossCountry #Class800 #IntercityExpressTrain #Class66 #Class60 #FreightTrains #UKRail #TrainspottingUK #RailfanUK #GreatWesternMainLine #DieselTraction #MainlineRail #RailwayPhotography #ChilternRailways #ElizabethLine #MidlandsRail ‪@crosscountrytrains1‬
