In Episode 1 of "Family," the table is the only place that reminds the Soykans that they are "family." That day, a table is set for the entire family, while Aslan is on a plane to Izmir to solve another one of his "shady" affairs involving his uncle. Psychologist Devin and Aslan's paths intersect on this trip. Devin is also traveling to Izmir to resolve a new problem his sister has gotten into. It's clear they come from different worlds. However, it doesn't take long for them to discover their shared "wound": their families. On the very first night, Aslan violates a crucial rule of the Soykan Constitution for Devin. This is enough for his mother, Hülya, who feels an obsessive attachment to Aslan, to realize the grave danger looming: Devin. Hülya, who has shown many times before that she will do anything to prevent her son from estranged from the family, will not be as easy this time. But Hülya isn't the only one whose task is difficult.
