Gratuity Calculation in the UAE

This video helps people to understand the rules and regulations related to Gratuity in the UAE. UAE Cabinet recently approved Federal Law No. 33 of 2021 which has replaced the previous Labour Law of 1980. As per this Law, Gratuity is calculated in accordance with Article 51(2) and Article 51(5) of the Employment Law. There are 4 steps in gratuity calculation 1. Gratuity calculated if the employee has completed one year of service, 2. Basic salary of twenty-one (21) working days against each of the first five years of service, 3. Basic salary of thirty (30) working days against each subsequent year of service, 4. Gratuity should not be more than two years of wage.
