How I Trick My Middle Schoolers Into Enjoying Reading
Getting students, especially middle schoolers, to actively engage and talk about their reactions, thoughts, and opinions, on what they read can be a challenge. Not too long ago I had a student admit "Ms. Robinson actually made me like reading." It is these moments that make a teacher feel like she is doing something right. In this video I share a few of the strategies that I integrate into my language arts lessons, that encourage students to share their thinking. Now that I am back in the classroom, I will be putting my Samsung Interactive Display to work. If you would like to learn more about the display, or are interested in getting one for your classroom or school site, check the link and contact information below.
