Maçonnerie en Pierre - Comment Reboucher un Trou - Tutoriel

Complete tutorial for re-masoning a hole in a stone wall. Two different scenarios are presented for maximum visibility. In this video, I try to share as much useful information as possible to help you re-mason a hole in a stone wall. I'll keep it simple, however, primarily to help beginners/neophytes. I'm not a mason, so my techniques and methods aren't optimal (even though I've received advice from a mason and have read and learned a lot about old buildings). Steps for re-masoning a hole in a stone wall: 1. Remove loose material 2. Clean the surfaces (dusting + moistening) 3. Prepare the stones (selection, cutting, cleaning, moistening) 4. Prepare the mortar 5. Moisten the surfaces (just before masonry) 6. Select the stone and its location 7. Remove the mortar 8. Lay the stone 9. Filling (gaps and behind) 10. Repeat step 6 until the hole is finished masonry ;) Why double moisten? 24 hours beforehand to remove dust and for the stones to absorb water for the first time. Just before masonry, so that the surface of the stone is damp and does not absorb water from the mortar, which would cause it to loosen. Other tips and clarifications: I don't know if the video is clear, but there must be no holes/gaps/gaps in the wall: the wall must be solid! If there's any rocking motion with the stones, you can use shims to wedge the stone you're laying. If you have a clear hole (for example, a mailbox hole, a niche, a window, etc.), it's best to break/remove the masonry around it so you can insert the new masonry into the old one. If you do this, be careful not to collapse the wall! (So if you're not sure, just re-mason the inside ^^) As usual, feel free to ask your questions in the comments! - - OTHER VIDEOS - - - Making a coating with a cement mixer:    • GUIDE DEBUTANT - Comment Faire du Mortier ...   Renovating a country-style living room:    • RÉNOVATION du SALON de ma MÈRE, du sol au ...   - - DONATIONS / SUPPORT - - - Subscribe, thumbs up, comment ;) Tipeee: https://fr.tipeee.com/sam-le-bricoleur Paypal: https://paypal.me/samlebricoleur?coun... - - TIME CODE - - - 00:00 - Intro 00:22 - Situation 1: small Hole 00:48 - 1.
