The Fundamental Desperation of Arguments for God
People arguing for the existence of God is kind of a strange phenomenon when you really stop and think about it. I understand the social and emotional drivers of participating in the default religion of your culture, but it's another thing to actually think your God belief is so demonstrable that you should go argue it to other people is a whole different thing. Today I'm going to explore this by looking at a series of boots-on-the-ground arguments from online Christians. I know a lot of them are trash, but I hope they can give us some kind of insight into how people view those outside their faith and why they think certain kinds of arguments are compelling.
