VIA Germanicus Ultra Race | 4,000km Across Europe Documentary

Hey all, Well… this one has been a big one. Two weeks on the road. 4,000 kilometres. Nearly 40,000 metres of climbing. This is a self-supported ultra cycling and bikepacking race documentary following my attempt to cross mainland Europe from south to north. I’ve spent a long time editing this — probably too long. I wanted it to reflect the highs, the ridiculous lows, the weather chaos, the sleep deprivation, and those strange mental places you end up after nearly two weeks of constant focus. This race had everything. 40°C heat and wildfires in southern Italy. Endless gravel, angry dogs, and those missed water sources. Then the Alps — brutal, relentless mountain passes stacked one after another. Austria brought postcard-perfect scenery… and torrential rain that just would not stop. Fatigue got weird. The days blurred together. This was the furthest I’ve ever raced. And for the first time, I made it all the way to the finish. And yes — the VIA family were there waiting. This one meant a lot.
