We’re finally starting I'm Alan Partridge — and after just one episode we already understand why so many of you have been asking us to watch it. In Episode 1: “A Room With An Alan”, we meet Alan Partridge at a particularly low point in his life. He’s living in the Linton Travel Tavern after being thrown out by his wife, hosting a painfully early morning radio show on Radio Norwich, and still desperately trying to convince the BBC to give him another TV show. What follows is some of the most gloriously awkward comedy we’ve seen. Alan’s confidence never seems to match reality, and the second-hand embarrassment is absolutely brutal in the best way possible. From the uncomfortable meeting with BBC commissioner Tony Hayers, to Alan’s interactions with his endlessly patient assistant Lynn, this episode had us laughing and cringing at the same time. We can already tell this show is going to be something special. We’re excited to finally dive into this series with you all.
