Summer Trap fishing- Guntersville

Tough weekend for me trying to fish heavy cover by punching and frogging. Started fishing a trap and had some success. Never did find any big fish but it is always fun when they are smoking a trap. I was burning the bait as fast as I could while trying to stay in contact with the grass. It was tough to do in some spots, the depth varied and the grass was irregular. But I was trying to lightly pop the bait out of the grass with the reel handle. Had a number of bites above the grass so it might not even have mattered. Everybody loves to throw lipless crankbaits in the winter but they can work in the summer to. Baits were 6th sense Duke 65s. Colors were Shad Scales and Boiled Crawfish. I am going to try this again next weekend and try to find some bigger fish. Thanks for watching! #lakeguntersville #bassfishing
