Things are about to get exciting! 🚛🔥 The Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and Keno Veith, aka “De Schwatten Ostfrees Jung”, is right in the middle of the action. This time, he is heading straight into the Müllenbachschleife. Because we asked you: Who has brought the coolest and most extraordinary vehicle from the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group? You sent us your vehicles, and Keno is taking a very close look at them. One thing quickly becomes clear: These are not just pieces of metal on wheels. Every rig has its own story, a huge amount of work behind it and, above all, plenty of genuine passion. Patrick from VAZ Wittlich shows Keno a KRONE swap body that has been converted into a mobile kitchen complete with a shower, oven, beer tap system and slush machine. The only thing missing is a rooftop terrace. Philip from Thöling & Döring presents a KRONE Mega Liner that still looks almost brand new despite being used every day. It is well maintained, in excellent technical condition and ready to transport building materials, beverages and double-deck loads. This is what it looks like when a working vehicle is also a true passion project. Away from the challenge, Keno also visits the paddock. There, he meets Tankpool24racing team manager Thilo Jahn and takes a closer look at driver Steffen Faas’ Freightliner. An American-style long nose, a manual transmission and more than 1,000 hp: The vehicle is not part of the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group and is therefore not competing in the vote for the coolest rig. But for Keno, this visit is still an absolute must. And, of course, there is also the sound of the truck directly beside the racetrack. But it is not all about chrome and polished show trucks. Janet Logermann, owner of CTM Container-Transport-Münsterland, shows Keno her Hüffermann roll-off trailer with external rollers. It is not a show vehicle, but a reliable workhorse that has delivered every single day since she founded the company. And then there is René from Dovermann Driving School in Aachen. The team has transformed a KRONE swap body into a mobile nightclub for carnival events. It comes complete with lighting, a bar, a beer tap system, a smoke machine and its own sanitary area.
