Natural Bow Drill Bearing Blocks... Black Walnut Nut and Fat Wood
I walked up on a lone Black Walnut Nut still in its green hull this morning on the trail and immediately knew I wanted to try it out for a Bow Drill Bearing Block. I first saw this done on gundog5's channel years ago with Hickory Nuts. I too had good success with hickory nuts. So it was reasonable that the Black Walnut nut would also work well. In addition, I'll also be using some fat wood for a natural bearing block. I describe what part of the pine tree the fat wood came from and why it looks so odd. Please SUBSCRIBE at the end of the video. Thanks!
