How to replace a broken snapped door handle hinge on a Fiat 500 2008 to 2024 DIY easy repair Abarth

Here is how to replace a door handle hinge on a Fiat 500 / Abarth 500. The car here is a 2017 and this was the nearside handle that had snapped but this process is the same for all 500's from 2009 to 2024 and the same process for both doors although the offside door does contain the keylock it's still easy enough to do. This is a common fault on Fiat 500's where the hinges become brittle and snap. If you leave it broken you run the risk of the whole handle snapping off but if you fix it when only the hinge snaps then it's a cheap easy DIY repair. Items and tools you will need are: The new door hinge - They are the same for both sides and the same for all Fiat 500's or Abarth 500's from 2009 to 2024 (Not the newer electric ones).
