Exploring Moreton in Marsh, in the Cotswolds, Surrounded by Beautiful Countryside
Welcome to my short guided walk around Moreton-in-Marsh, a lovely Cotswold Market town located in the beautiful and picturesque Evenlode Valley, in the stunning Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Gloucestershire. Moreton-in-Marsh is a charming town that is easily accessible by road, as it lies at the crossroads of the historic Fosse Way, which is an ancient Roman road that has stood the test of time and is now known as the A429. Additionally, it is conveniently situated along the A44, which runs between Oxford and Evesham, making it a perfect destination for day trips and weekend getaways. There are also excellent railway connections available from Paddington Station in London, which links to the Cotswold Line, an impressive 86-mile long railway line that stretches between the historic cities of Oxford and Hereford. The town centre of Moreton-in-Marsh is only a couple of minutes' walk from the railway station, where you can find a variety of shops, cafes, and local attractions. I'm Anne Bartlett, a qualified and professional Blue Badge Tour Guide, and I am thrilled to share my knowledge and passion for this wonderful area with you.
