Sometimes fate means well.. 😉 In 2023, at the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon, I met you for the first time in 'Melly's Bar' - fleetingly, without a word. You were there with Seb as normal tourists, assessing the situation for later. But of course I only know that now. Our eyes met as you got a beer from the bar, and that brief glance had done it, something very special. I saw you several more times, but we didn't get to talking. Until the festival was over and everyone went their separate ways. Not even won yet - and already melted away! No idea who you are, no idea what you do, no idea where you come from... But you had run into the picture of some photographers, and you could be spotted on the festival website.. 😉 I posted your picture .. "Please get in touch".. Of course you didn't.. Originally I had no plans to go back to Ballyshannon in 2024. But now everything was different. There was a spark of hope that you could be there again - I admit, it was tiny! So I booked again - okay, Ballyshannon is always worth a trip! And then the unbelievable happened, on the very first day. I think my mouth was open in amazement for a minute.. 😄 There you were standing in front of the Rory Gallagher Mural - with a band, your band! And playing music that thrilled me from the first note! And a way of performing that blew me away, I had never seen anything like it before! And you know how it went on, it doesn't need to be told anymore. A great festival, together - and now 2 more unforgettable encounters. Today is your birthday, and you're starting off into an even more successful year than 2024 already was. You don't have to 'knock on doors' anymore, they're waiting for you and your band! And that's the best thing they can do.. 😉 Happy birthday my gal!
